Since 1965, when the Jeannot family took over this restaurant, which first opened in 1893, it has become an landmark of Essaouira. Located on the seafront overlooking the beach and its seagulls, the menu is devoted to a typically mediterranean cuisine. Pride of place is given to oysters, sea-urchins, giant prawns, squid, lobster and whole fish. The waiters will guide you through the eye of Jeannot, captain of the Chalet de la Plage. The room is " no smoking" for your comfort.
